Terms of Service

netherbio

Last Updated: July 15, 2026

TL;DR — not legally binding. This summary is here to help you skim. It is not part of the Terms and does not modify them. You should read the full Terms before relying on anything here. In brief:

  • You must be at least 13 to use netherbio, and 18+ to receive ad revenue.
  • You are responsible for your bio site's content and for any transactions on it. netherbio is not a payment processor for User-to-User transactions and is not a party to them.
  • We may show contextual advertising on bio sites — selected based on page content, not on tracking individuals across sites. Where required by law, ad and analytics tracking is gated by a consent banner.
  • Site Owners can opt their site into advertising via the dashboard if we have made them eligible, and may receive a discretionary revenue share, subject to a separate agreement, a minimum payout threshold, and our right to withhold or reverse for fraud or invalid traffic.
  • If there's ever a dispute, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out; otherwise it can go to the courts, and your local consumer-protection rights are not affected.

If anything in this summary conflicts with the full Terms below, the full Terms govern.

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to netherbio("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), an independently operated online service.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Service in any manner — including visiting any website hosted on the netherbio platform, creating a bio site, using the admin dashboard, interacting with the Listing Bot, or utilizing any tools or features — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and netherbio. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, as described in Section 17.

2. Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • "Service" — the netherbio platform, including the website at netherbio.com, all subdomains (*.netherbio.com), any custom domains pointed at the platform, the admin dashboard, all APIs, tools, the Listing Bot, and any related services or software.
  • "User" or "Visitor" — any individual who accesses or interacts with the Service in any capacity, including browsing a bio site.
  • "Site Owner" — a User who has created and manages a bio site through the platform.
  • "Admin" — a Site Owner who accesses the administrative dashboard to configure their bio site.
  • "Listing Bot" — the Discord bot included with a netherBio Pro subscription, providing ticket management, listing, and transcript functionality.
  • "Platform" — the overarching netherbio infrastructure, including hosting, storage, authentication, and all backend services managed by netherbio.
  • "Content" — any text, images, files, listings, chat messages, profile information, configurations, reviews, and any other material uploaded, transmitted, or displayed through the Service.
  • "Subscription" / "netherBio Pro" — a recurring paid plan granting access to premium features including the Listing Bot and live support chat.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use the Service. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17 (inclusive), or below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, that parent or guardian must agree to be bound by these Terms on your behalf, and you must affirm that consent when you register.

Users under 13 are not permitted to use the Service. If you self-declare an age under 13 during registration, you will not be permitted to create or keep an account. For site-owner accounts, a self-declared age under 13 results in termination of the account and purging of its associated personal information, together with a block on immediate re-registration. For shop-customer accounts, registration is rejected before any account is created. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 13 to use the Service.

Users under the age of 18 may not make purchases, subscribe to paid features, or engage in any financial transactions through or in connection with the Service.

When you register an account, you will be asked to provide your date of birth. This is self-declared; we do not require document or government-ID verification. You represent that the date of birth you provide is accurate. Site Owners who are under 18 may use the Service, but are not eligible to opt their site into advertising revenue share or to receive payouts (see Section 8.4). Providing false age information is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension, removal of features, and forfeiture of any accrued amounts.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not meet these requirements, you must not access or use the Service.

You may not use the Service if you have been previously suspended, banned, or otherwise prohibited from accessing the Service by netherbio, or if your use of the Service would violate any applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction.

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Account Creation

Certain features of the Service require account creation. You may create a bio site through the "Get a Site" flow at netherbio.com/getasite using email verification or Discord OAuth authentication. Upon creation, you will receive a subdomain (yourname.netherbio.com) and admin credentials to manage your site.

4.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, including your admin username, password, and any two-factor authentication (2FA/TOTP) codes. You agree to:

  • Choose a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.
  • Not share your credentials with any third party.
  • Immediately notify us if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account, using our legal & data request form (or email legal@netherbio.com).
  • Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you.

4.3 Account Limits

Each User is permitted one (1) bio site unless explicitly authorized otherwise by netherbio. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, bans, or rate limits is strictly prohibited.

4.4 Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary to keep it accurate and complete. netherbio reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

5. Description of Service

netherbio is a multi-tenant platform that provides the following features and functionality:

5.1 Bio Sites

Customizable personal profile pages featuring avatars, backgrounds, display names, titles, stats, links, buttons, bulletin boards, knowledge base articles, embedded content, and payment method displays.

5.2 Subdomains and Custom Domains

Each bio site is assigned a subdomain under netherbio.com (e.g., yourname.netherbio.com). Site Owners may optionally configure a custom domain by completing DNS verification.

5.3 Admin Dashboard

A comprehensive management interface for Site Owners to configure site content, appearance (themes, fonts, mouse glow effects), features, reputations, blacklists, redirects, analytics, activity logs, chat settings, and security options.

5.4 Shop and Listings

A marketplace feature allowing Site Owners to display and manage listings for digital goods, game accounts, profiles, and in-game currency. Listings may include pricing, item details, and associated game statistics.

5.5 Ticket System

A communication system facilitating buyer-seller interactions for transactions, supporting text messages, custom form fields, and file attachments (images, videos, PDFs, text files, and ZIP archives).

5.6 Chat Widget

An optional embedded chat feature on bio sites allowing visitors to communicate with Site Owners in real time. Each conversation opens a support ticket the Site Owner can answer from their Discord server or their admin dashboard. The Chat Widget requires an active netherBio Pro subscription and is not displayed on sites without one.

5.7 Tools

Integrated utilities including an Account Value Calculator (Hypixel Skyblock), DonutSMP player lookup, and other game-related data tools.

5.8 URL Shortener

A redirect service allowing Site Owners to create short links (e.g., yoursite.netherbio.com/r/slug) that redirect visitors to specified destinations.

5.9 Reputation and Reviews

A reputation display system that syncs reviews from Discord and displays them on bio sites.

5.10 Listing Bot

A Discord bot that provides ticket management, account/profile listing, buy/sell facilitation, and transcript generation within Discord servers. The Listing Bot is one component of netherBio Pro, a subscription-based premium plan that also includes on-site live support chat and web tickets, the Commerce Suite (Section 5.15), the Site Management API (Section 5.16), Site Owner email sending (Section 5.17), and additional premium features identified in the admin dashboard. Pricing is described in Section 6.1.

5.11 Verify Identity

A client-side tool allowing visitors to verify a Discord user ID against the site owner's identity.

5.12 Advertising

netherbio may display advertising on the Service, including on bio sites operated by Site Owners. In the current implementation, advertising is contextual— ad selection is based on the content of the page being viewed and not on tracking or profiling individual visitors across sites. We reserve the right to introduce additional forms of advertising in the future, subject to applicable law and, where required, to the visitor's prior consent as described in Section 10. Site Owners control whether advertising is enabled on their own site through the admin dashboard, subject to eligibility under Section 8.3.

5.13 Portfolio

An optional section allowing Site Owners to showcase external work via link cards and embedded previews of third-party websites rendered in sandboxed frames. Embedded third-party content remains subject to the terms and policies of the site being embedded. Site Owners are responsible for ensuring they have the right to display any content they embed, and netherbio does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for embedded third-party content.

5.14 Site Aliases and Additional Domains

Site Owners may connect additional custom domains or netherbio subdomains that mirror their bio site. Aliased domains serve identical content with a canonical reference to the primary site. All obligations under these Terms apply equally to content served on any alias, and aliases may not be used to evade enforcement actions taken against a site.

5.15 Commerce Suite

An optional set of e-commerce features available to netherBio Pro subscribers, including custom product listings, shop customer accounts, store credit, invoices, and checkout processed through the Site Owner's own third-party payment processor account (currently SellAuth). When a Site Owner enables the Commerce Suite, the Site Owner — not netherbio — is the merchant of record for all sales made through their shop. netherbio provides software only and is not a party to shop transactions, as further described in Sections 6.6 and 12.

5.16 Site Management API

An optional programmatic interface allowing netherBio Pro Site Owners to manage their site configuration via scoped API keys. Site Owners are solely responsible for safeguarding their API keys and for all actions taken with them. netherbio may impose rate limits, restrict scopes, or revoke API access at any time, including where abuse or a security concern is suspected.

5.17 Site Owner Email Sending

netherBio Pro Site Owners using the Commerce Suite may send transactional email to their own shop customers (such as receipts and delivery notifications) through email credentials they configure or through platform-provided relay infrastructure. Site Owners are solely responsible for ensuring their email sending complies with applicable law (including consent and anti-spam requirements such as CAN-SPAM and equivalent laws) with respect to their own recipients. netherbio may suspend email sending that generates abuse complaints, bounces at abnormal rates, or otherwise threatens platform deliverability.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

6.1 netherBio Pro Subscription

netherBio Pro (which includes the Listing Bot) is available as a paid subscription in fixed terms of 30, 90, 180, or 365 days. The 30-day term is $10.00 USD; longer terms are offered at a discounted rate per day. Current prices for every term are shown in the admin dashboard at the time of purchase and are the prices that apply. netherBio Pro may also be activated by redeeming a license key. Payment is processed through SellAuth, a third-party payment processor. netherbio does not directly process, store, or handle payment card information.

6.2 Subscription Management

Subscriptions are automatically verified via periodic checks. If a subscription lapses or payment fails, access to netherBio Pro features may be suspended or revoked. This includes the Listing Bot, the Chat Widget, the Commerce Suite, and the Site Management API. The underlying bio site remains free and stays online. Grandfathered users who were granted access prior to the introduction of paid subscriptions may retain access at the sole discretion of netherbio.

6.3 Refund Policy

All sales are final. Refunds are not provided except where required by applicable law or at the sole discretion of netherbio. Requests for discretionary refunds may be submitted through our request form but are not guaranteed.

6.4 User-to-User Transactions

Payment methods displayed on bio sites (including but not limited to cryptocurrency addresses, CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle) are provided by Site Owners for informational purposes only. netherbio:

  • Does not act as an escrow service, payment processor, or financial intermediary for any transaction between Users.
  • Does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any payment method displayed on any bio site.
  • Is not a party to any transaction between Users and assumes no liability for such transactions.
  • Does not provide buyer protection, seller protection, or dispute resolution for User-to-User transactions.

6.5 Pricing Changes

netherbio reserves the right to modify pricing for any paid features at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes prior to their next billing cycle.

6.6 Shop Purchases and Store Credit

Purchases made from a Site Owner's shop (including Commerce Suite products) are transactions between you and that Site Owner, processed through the Site Owner's own payment processor account. netherbio is not the seller, is not a party to the transaction, and does not receive or handle your payment card information. Refunds, replacements, and disputes for shop purchases are governed by the Site Owner's own policies and applicable law.

Where a Site Owner's shop offers store credit(wallet balances): store credit is a prepaid, limited-purpose credit redeemable only within that Site Owner's shop. Unless required by applicable law, store credit has no cash value, is not transferable between shops or users, cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash, and is issued by the Site Owner — not by netherbio. Store credit balances may be forfeited when the associated customer account or the Site Owner's shop is deleted or terminated, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Top-up payments are credited only after the underlying payment is verified.

7. User-Generated Content

7.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights in and to the Content you upload, submit, or transmit through the Service. netherbio does not claim ownership of your Content.

7.2 License Grant

By uploading, submitting, or transmitting Content through the Service, you grant netherbio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your Content solely as necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. This license continues for so long as your Content remains on the Service and for a reasonable period thereafter to accommodate backups and cached copies.

7.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload, submit, or transmit any Content that:

  • Is illegal, unlawful, or promotes illegal activities.
  • Contains or depicts child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or the exploitation of minors in any form.
  • Contains malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any other malicious software or code.
  • Contains the personal or private information of another individual without their explicit consent (doxxing).
  • Constitutes harassment, threats, abuse, hate speech, or incitement to violence.
  • Depicts or glorifies gore, graphic violence, or shocking content, including real or simulated death, serious injury, mutilation, dismemberment, torture, or animal cruelty.
  • Is spam, unsolicited advertising, or phishing.
  • Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely represents an affiliation.
  • Infringes upon the intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
  • Contains sexually explicit material involving minors.
  • Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
  • Advertises, sells, or facilitates the sale of weapons, firearms, explosives, illegal or recreational drugs, drug paraphernalia, or other tightly regulated goods.
  • Constitutes a scam, fraud, or other deceptive financial scheme, including get-rich-quick or multi-level-marketing schemes, fake giveaways, account “boosting” or “free generator” offers, or other deceptive financial offers.

7.4 Content Moderation

netherbio reserves the right, but is not obligated, to review, monitor, edit, or remove any Content at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms.

7.5 File Uploads

The Service supports the following file uploads:

  • Avatars and backgrounds: JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP formats, up to 5 MB per file.
  • Ticket attachments: Images, videos, PDF, text files, and ZIP archives, up to 10 MB per file.

Files that exceed size limits or are in unsupported formats will be rejected. netherbio may scan uploaded files for malicious content and reserves the right to remove any file at its discretion.

To keep pages reliable, images referenced from external sources in knowledge-base articles (and attachments captured in ticket transcripts) may be copied to and served from netherbio storage. By referencing external content in your Content, you represent that you have the rights necessary for it to be stored and served in this way, and the license in Section 7.2 applies to such copies.

7.6 Chat and Ticket Messages

Messages sent through the chat widget and ticket system are stored on our servers and may be reviewed by netherbio for moderation, support, and security purposes. Ticket transcripts may be generated and stored. Do not share sensitive personal information (such as passwords, financial details, or government IDs) through the chat or ticket systems.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any other malicious or destructive code.
  • Engage in phishing, social engineering, or any form of deception intended to obtain unauthorized access to accounts, credentials, or personal information.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other Users' accounts, or any systems, networks, or servers connected to the Service.
  • Abuse, harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any other User or individual.
  • Scrape, crawl, spider, or use any automated means to access the Service or extract data without the prior written consent of netherbio.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, security features, authentication mechanisms, or access controls.
  • Use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other financial crime.
  • Impersonate netherbio, its employees, representatives, or other Users.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure, servers, networks, or performance.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam).
  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans, suspensions, or other enforcement actions.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service without express written permission from netherbio.

8.1 Site Owner Responsibilities

Site Owners are solely responsible for all Content displayed on their bio sites and for all activity that occurs through their sites, including but not limited to shop listings, ticket communications, chat messages, and any transactions facilitated through their sites. Site Owners must ensure their sites comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

8.2 Enforcement

netherbio reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action in response to any violation of these Terms, including but not limited to issuing warnings, suspending or terminating accounts, removing Content, reporting violations to law enforcement, and pursuing legal remedies.

8.3 Advertising Eligibility and Brand Safety

Enabling advertising on a bio site is subject to standards that are separate from, and stricter than, the content rules otherwise permitted on the Service. Content that is allowed to remain on the Service is not necessarily eligible to display advertising.

Where advertising is enabled, the Site Owner acknowledges and agrees that:

  • (a) Third-party standards apply. Advertising is served through third-party advertising providers whose own policies govern what content may be monetized. These standards may prohibit advertising on content that is lawful but that advertisers or networks deem unsuitable, including but not limited to content involving hate speech, harassment, shocking or graphic material, sexually explicit material, or other categories restricted by the applicable provider. Site Owners are responsible for reviewing and complying with the policies of any advertising provider serving on their site.
  • (b) Ad-safe gating.netherbio may classify pages, content, or entire sites as ineligible for advertising and may withhold, disable, or suppress advertising on any page, site, or domain at its sole discretion, with or without notice. Such gating does not constitute removal of the underlying Content, which remains governed by the Service's general content rules.
  • (c) Protection of the shared advertising account.Advertising across the Service may be operated through one or more shared advertising accounts. Because a single Site Owner's content can jeopardize advertising eligibility for the entire platform, netherbio reserves the absolute right to disable advertising on any site, suspend a Site Owner's participation in advertising and revenue share, and withhold or reverse any associated revenue, where in its sole judgment a site's content creates a risk to any advertising account, provider relationship, or the Service's standing with any advertising provider.
  • (d) No entitlement to monetization. Nothing in these Terms entitles any Site Owner to display advertising or to receive advertising revenue. Eligibility to monetize is discretionary, may be revoked at any time, and is conditioned on ongoing compliance with these Terms and all applicable advertising-provider policies.
  • (e) No waiver of content policy. The fact that advertising is disabled or restricted on particular content does not waive, limit, or alter netherbio's rights regarding that Content under the Service's general content and moderation provisions, nor does the eligibility of content for advertising imply endorsement of it.

8.4 Site Owner Advertising and Revenue Share

Eligible Site Owners (per Section 8.3) may opt their bio site into advertising through the admin dashboard. By opting in, the Site Owner agrees that:

  • (a) the Site Owner will comply with all laws applicable to advertising in their jurisdiction and on their domain, including disclosure, consent, and tax requirements;
  • (b) where the bio site is served on a custom domain owned or controlled by the Site Owner, the Site Owner is solely responsible for any privacy disclosures, cookie banners, or other notices required on that domain in addition to those netherbio provides;
  • (c) revenue share is calculated by netherbio and is not a guarantee of any specific payout. For first-party sponsorships (where netherbio sells the placement directly), per-site amounts are computed from actual per-domain impression and click counts and the agreed flat fee or CPM rate. For any third-party ad-network mode in the future, per-site amounts may be approximations derived from platform-wide totals because most third-party ad providers do not report revenue at the per-subdomain level;
  • (d) payouts are subject to a minimum threshold, a separate revenue-share agreement that must be accepted in the dashboard, and to manual review prior to any payment;
  • (e) netherbio may withhold, reverse, delay, or refuse any payout where it suspects fraud, invalid traffic, sanctions issues, advertising-provider policy violations, or any violation of these Terms. Site Owners new to the advertising and revenue-share program are subject to a holding period of up to thirty (30) days from their first eligible impression before any payout may be processed, to allow time for invalid-traffic review;
  • (f) the Site Owner must be at least 18 years of age (self-declared per Section 3) to receive payouts, regardless of the local age of majority;
  • (g) netherbio may modify the revenue-share percentage, payout threshold, supported payout methods, and eligibility criteria at any time on reasonable notice; and
  • (h) Invalid-traffic detection.netherbio employs automated and manual measures to detect invalid traffic, including but not limited to bot detection, viewport-visibility verification, duplicate-impression suppression, Referer / Origin validation, headless-browser detection, honeypot decoys, and cross-tenant traffic correlation. Site Owners are responsible for ensuring that traffic to their site is legitimate and may be suspended from or permanently removed from the advertising program for repeated or material invalid-traffic events, with any accrued amounts forfeited at netherbio's discretion. Specific signals, thresholds, and detection rules are confidential and will not be disclosed to Site Owners; communications about a suspension will describe the action taken but not the underlying signal.

8.5 Self-Serve Advertising

Site Owners may, separately from the advertising-revenue program described in Section 8.4, purchase advertising on the Service through the advertiser dashboard (the “Self-Serve Advertising” program). By purchasing advertising the purchasing Site Owner (an “Advertiser”) agrees that:

  • (a) Eligibility. Advertisers must be at least 18 years of age (self-declared per Section 3) and must accept these Terms in addition to the Sections 8.3 and 7.3 content rules that govern any creative submitted for placement on the Service.
  • (b) Platform approval. Every creative submitted through the advertiser dashboard is subject to review by netherbio before it serves. netherbio may reject any creative for any reason consistent with Section 8.3, including reasons unrelated to legality (advertiser-network policy, brand safety, conflicts with existing advertisers, or business judgment).
  • (c) Refund policy. Payments for advertising are refundable in full if the creative is rejected during platform approval or if the Advertiser cancels before the creative is approved. Once approved and serving, payments are non-refundable, except where required by law or at the sole discretion of netherbio.
  • (d) No targeting of your own sites. Advertisers may not direct advertising purchased through the advertiser dashboard to any bio site that they own, operate, or are otherwise associated with. Attempts to circumvent this restriction (including via undisclosed alternate accounts) constitute fraud under Section 8.4(h) and may result in forfeiture of any remaining campaign balance.
  • (e) Pricing. Advertising rates are set by netherbio and may change with reasonable notice. Tiers in effect at the time of purchase remain valid for the duration of that purchase.
  • (f) No guaranteed delivery. Estimated impression counts displayed during checkout are projections, not commitments. Actual delivery may be lower due to fluctuating eligible inventory, recipient-tenant approval rates, brand-safety holds, or invalid-traffic detection (see Section 8.4(h)). netherbio will make a good-faith effort to deliver close to estimates and may, at its discretion, extend campaign duration or issue partial credit toward future campaigns if delivery materially underruns estimates.
  • (g) Aggregate reporting only. Advertisers receive aggregate performance reports for their campaigns (total impressions, clicks, click-through rate, spend). Advertisers do NOT receive per-recipient-tenant impression or click breakdowns, and may not request such breakdowns. This protects recipient tenants from being identified by their participation in any particular campaign.
  • (h) Recipient revenue share.Sites that serve self-serve advertising receive the same revenue share they would receive for platform-sourced sponsorships (see Section 8.4(c)). The recipient's share is paid from the advertiser's payment after netherbio's platform fee.
  • (i) Payment processing.Advertising purchases are processed by SellAuth as netherbio's payment processor. netherbio does not receive or store full card numbers. Advertiser-supplied billing details are subject to SellAuth's terms in addition to these Terms.
  • (j) Access and eligibility.Self-Serve Advertising is available to eligible Site Owners who are 18 years of age or older and have accepted these Terms and the Advertising Guidelines. netherbio may grant, restrict, suspend, or revoke access to the advertiser dashboard for any Site Owner at its sole discretion, with or without notice, and without affecting that Site Owner's other rights under these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Service integrates with and relies upon various third-party services. Third-party services currently include, but are not limited to:

  • Discord — OAuth authentication, bot functionality, webhooks, activity logging, and reputation syncing.
  • SellAuth — Payment processing for netherBio Pro subscriptions.
  • Hypixel / Skyblock APIs — Game data retrieval for tools, listings, and account value calculations.
  • SMTP2GO — Transactional email delivery for verification codes and notifications.
  • Vercel — Web hosting, data storage, and file storage.
  • Google Analytics — Website usage analytics and traffic measurement.
  • ip-api.com — IP address geolocation for analytics and security.
  • DonutSMP — Game server player lookup.
  • Elite (api.elitebot.dev) — Hypixel SkyBlock farming-statistics lookups for listing tools. Receives no personal information about visitors.
  • Advertising and analytics providers — third-party services that may serve advertising, measure ad performance, or provide aggregate analytics. The specific providers in use may change from time to time; where required by law, their use is gated by the consent mechanism described in Section 10.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service, privacy policies, and other agreements. netherbio is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, reliability, or conduct of any third-party service, and shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on or use of such services.

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for complying with the terms and conditions of any third-party services you interact with through the Service, including but not limited to the Discord Terms of Service, Hypixel rules, and Mojang/Microsoft End User License Agreement (EULA).

10. Data Collection, Privacy, and Cookies

This section provides an overview of the data we collect and how it is used. A separate, more comprehensive Privacy Policy is available and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In the event of any conflict between this section and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy governs.

Platform Data Posture: netherbio does not currently sell platform analytics data to third parties for monetary consideration, nor share platform analytics data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Site Owners are responsible for how they use analytics data collected on their own pages and must comply with applicable law in their jurisdiction. See Sections 5.12 and 10.8 for our current advertising practices.

10.1 Data Collected from Visitors

When you visit a netherbio site, we may collect the following information:

  • IP address and approximate geolocation (country, city) via ip-api.com.
  • Browser information including user agent string, screen resolution, language preference, and timezone.
  • Session data including session IDs, visitor IDs, pages viewed, referrer URLs, and device type.
  • Chat fingerprint data — only if you use the optional chat widget, and only to keep your chat session working and to stop spam and abuse. This is a technical signature of your browser and device (such as browser, operating system, device type, locale, and screen and rendering characteristics). It is not used for advertising or to track you across other websites.

10.2 Data Collected from Site Owners

When you create and manage a bio site, we collect:

  • Email address provided during registration.
  • Discord account information including Discord ID, username, and avatar (if Discord OAuth is used).
  • Admin credentials (stored in hashed form).
  • Site configuration data including all settings, content, and customizations you make through the admin dashboard.
  • Activity logs of administrative actions.

10.3 Cookies, Local Storage, and Consent Controls

The Service uses the following cookies and browser storage mechanisms:

  • admin_session — authenticates admin dashboard sessions.
  • platform_session — keeps you signed in to platform features; its contents are cryptographically signed so they cannot be tampered with.
  • discord_oauth_state / platform_oauth_state — prevents cross-site request forgery during OAuth flows.
  • localStorage and sessionStorage — stores session IDs, visitor IDs, tracking data, chat session data, and shop tokens for functionality and analytics.

The Service uses a consent banner to control non-essential cookies, local storage, and tracking technologies, including analytics and any advertising-related measurement. Visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other strict-consent jurisdictions (or in any location where geolocation cannot be determined) are presented with an opt-in banner: non-essential tracking will not occur until the visitor explicitly accepts. Visitors located in jurisdictions that permit opt-out models are presented with a banner that defaults to allow but offers an equally accessible decline option that, when chosen, suppresses non-essential tracking on subsequent navigations.

Visitor choices are stored per domain: each tenant's bio site (including any custom domain pointed at the platform) is treated as a distinct origin for the purpose of consent. Choosing to decline may reduce available analytics detail for the Site Owner and may disable certain measurement features. Essential cookies and storage (authentication sessions, CSRF tokens, the consent record itself) are not gated by the banner.

Where enabled, analytics may use a privacy-safe hashed browser/device identifier for anti-abuse and attribution purposes. By accepting analytics/advertising consent, you authorize this processing as described in these Terms.

10.4 Google Analytics

The Service uses Google Analytics (gtag.js) to collect aggregate usage data. Google Analytics may use cookies and collect information in accordance with Google's privacy policy. You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

10.5 How We Use Collected Data

We use collected data for the following purposes:

  • Operating, maintaining, and improving the Service.
  • Authenticating users and maintaining session state.
  • Providing analytics and usage statistics to Site Owners.
  • Serving and measuring advertising on the Service, including contextual ad selection, impression counting, click measurement, and aggregate attribution to Site Owners for revenue share calculation.
  • Detecting and preventing advertising fraud and invalid traffic.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Enforcing these Terms and our policies.
  • Communicating with you regarding your account and the Service.
  • Complying with legal obligations.

10.6 Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on Vercel's infrastructure using secure data storage and file storage services. While we implement reasonable security measures — including password hashing, session management, rate limiting, and access controls — no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

10.7 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account termination, we may retain certain data for a reasonable period for legal, operational, or backup purposes. You may request deletion of your data through our legal & data request form.

10.8 Advertising and Tracking Technologies

Where advertising is enabled on a bio site (see Sections 5.12 and 8.4), the Service may use cookies, local storage, identifiers, or similar technologies for the purposes listed in Section 10.5. In the current implementation, advertising is contextual and does not rely on cross-site tracking or behavioral profiling of visitors.

We may add additional advertising technologies in the future. Any such addition that involves non-essential tracking will be gated by the consent mechanism described in Section 10.3 and will, where required by law, require affirmative opt-in. We do not knowingly engage in behavioral advertising directed at minors. The Service does not currently transmit visitor data to third-party advertising providers for the purpose of building cross-site behavioral profiles.

10.9 Identity, Security, and Fraud-Prevention Data

To keep the Service safe from fraud, scams, and ban evasion, when you authenticate through Discord we keep a security record tied to your Discord account. This may include your Discord profile data, the IP addresses you sign in from, approximate location and network/ISP information derived from them (via ip-api.com), your device and browser details, and your sign-in history. Because these are the signals that let us catch repeat offenders and fake or duplicate accounts, we keep them for as long as necessary for those security and fraud-prevention purposes. We also maintain a related security and fraud-prevention index, refreshed periodically, that we source from VaultCord(a third-party Discord verification service). It links Discord profiles, associated emails, IP addresses, and connections between accounts, and we use it solely to investigate fraud, coordinated abuse, ban evasion, and platform-security threats — never for advertising or marketing profiling.

We carry out this processing on the basis of our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, and abuse investigation. It is essential, security-related processing and is not gated by the consent banner described in Section 10.3. The source, legal basis, retention, and your erasure rights — including the fraud- and security-prevention carve-out under GDPR Article 17(3) — are described more fully in our Privacy Policy (see Privacy Policy §§3.5, 3.6, 5, 9, and 11), which governs in the event of any conflict.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 netherbio Property

The Service, including but not limited to its source code, design, layout, graphics, user interface, documentation, APIs, and all associated intellectual property, is the exclusive property of netherbio and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

11.2 Trademarks

"netherbio" and all related logos, names, and marks are trademarks or service marks of the operator of the Service. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent, except as reasonably necessary to identify the Service in connection with your use of it.

11.3 Restrictions

You may not, without the prior written permission of netherbio:

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Service or any part thereof.
  • Distribute, license, sell, lease, or otherwise transfer the Service or access thereto.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Use the Service's code, design, or branding to create a competing product or service.

11.4 Open-Source Components

The Service incorporates third-party open-source software components, each of which is licensed to you under its own applicable open-source license and not under these Terms. A current list of the components we deliver to your browser, together with their respective copyright notices and license texts (and, where applicable, links to corresponding source code), is available at netherbio.com/licenses, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

To the extent any open-source license conflicts with these Terms, that open-source license governs solely with respect to the component it covers, and nothing in these Terms restricts, supersedes, or grants you rights beyond those provided by the applicable open-source license. Some components are made available under the Apache License 2.0 or other licenses that impose additional conditions; your use of those components is subject to the additional terms of those licenses as described on the licenses page.

11.5 DMCA and Copyright Infringement

If you believe that Content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent through our DMCA request form (or by email to legal@netherbio.com) with the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • A description of the material you claim is infringing and its location on the Service.
  • Contact information reasonably sufficient for us to reach you — at minimum an email address, and optionally a mailing address and telephone number.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

11.6 Third-Party Trademarks and Assets

Names, logos, icons, emojis, and in-game or brand assets that are not owned by netherbio — including, without limitation, Minecraft and Mojang item, block, and mob textures; Hypixel and SkyBlock icons; the Discord name and marks; and payment-brand and cryptocurrency logos — remain the property of their respective owners and are used on the Service, or by the Listing Bot, for identification and reference purposes only. netherbio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Mojang AB, Microsoft, Hypixel Inc., Discord Inc., or any payment provider, game publisher, or other third party whose marks may appear on or through the Service. Nothing on the Service grants, or shall be construed as granting, any license or right to use any third-party trademark, and the appearance of any such mark does not imply any association, endorsement, or partnership. A consolidated trademark notice is also maintained on our third-party licenses page.

12. Marketplace and Transaction Disclaimer

12.1 Nature of the Service

netherbio provides tools that facilitate the listing of and communication about digital goods, game accounts, in-game profiles, and in-game currency. The Service is a platform, not a marketplace participant.

12.2 No Party to Transactions

netherbio is not a party to any transaction between Users. We do not buy, sell, broker, or facilitate the transfer of any goods, accounts, or currency. We merely provide the technological platform on which Users may communicate and list items.

12.3 No Guarantees

netherbio does not guarantee, endorse, verify, or warrant the accuracy, legitimacy, quality, safety, or legality of any listing, seller, buyer, or transaction. The blacklist and reputation features are informational tools only and do not constitute a guarantee of trustworthiness or reliability.

12.4 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • All User-to-User transactions are conducted at your own risk.
  • netherbio is not responsible for scams, fraud, chargebacks, disputes, losses, or any damages arising from transactions between Users.
  • Trading, buying, or selling game accounts, in-game items, or in-game currency may violate the terms of service of game publishers, including but not limited to Hypixel, Mojang, and Microsoft. You assume all risk associated with such activities.
  • netherbio shall not be held liable for any penalties, bans, or other consequences imposed by game publishers or any third party as a result of your use of the Service.

Nothing in this Section 12 excludes or limits any liability or statutory right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.

13. Disclaimers

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT LIMITS THE LIABILITY OF NETHERBIO AND ITS AFFILIATES.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NETHERBIO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY DATA, CONTENT, INFORMATION, OR RESULTS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACCOUNT VALUE CALCULATIONS, GAME STATISTICS, PLAYER LOOKUPS, AND REPUTATION DATA.
  • WARRANTIES THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED OR THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE AVAILABILITY, PERFORMANCE, OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE INTEGRATED WITH OR RELIED UPON BY THE SERVICE.

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED FROM NETHERBIO OR THROUGH THE SERVICE, SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law, including any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL NETHERBIO, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS, OR ASSIGNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.
  • COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES.
  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR DATA.
  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM USER-TO-USER TRANSACTIONS OR INTERACTIONS.
  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT ON OR THROUGH THE SERVICE.

REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF NETHERBIO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF NETHERBIO FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO NETHERBIO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($50.00 USD).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits netherbio's liability where it would be unlawful to do so. In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) gross negligence or willful misconduct; or (d) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law, including your non-waivable rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, applicable European Union consumer-protection law, and applicable United States federal or state law. Where liability cannot be excluded but can lawfully be limited, netherbio's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by that law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless netherbio, its officers, directors, members, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use of or access to the Service.
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation.
  • Your Content, including any claim that your Content infringes or violates the rights of a third party.
  • Any transaction or interaction between you and any other User.
  • Any misrepresentation made by you.
  • Your violation of the rights of any third party.

netherbio reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims. You agree not to settle any such matter without the prior written consent of netherbio.

16. Termination

16.1 Termination by netherbio

netherbio may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service, your account, or your bio site where there is a legitimate reason to do so — including violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent or illegal activity, a risk to the Service or to other users, extended inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service. Where it is practical to do so, we will give you notice and, where appropriate, a chance to put things right first; but in cases involving abuse, security or legal risk, or where the law requires it, we may act immediately and without prior notice.

16.2 Termination by User

You may request deletion of your bio site and associated data at any time through our legal & data request form. Erasure is carried out by our administrators on request; it is not a self-service or automated feature. Please allow a reasonable processing period; we will acknowledge and act on verified requests within the period required by applicable law. This processing period is separate from how long data may be retained afterward under the retention and carve-out provisions of our Privacy Policy (§9) and Section 16.3 below.

16.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account:

  • Your bio site will become inaccessible, and your subdomain will be released.
  • Custom domain configurations will cease to function.
  • Access to the admin dashboard, Listing Bot, and all premium features will be revoked.
  • Your Content may be deleted, though we may retain certain data for a reasonable period for legal, compliance, backup, or operational purposes.
  • On a verified erasure request we remove identifying personal information as described in our Privacy Policy (§11); however, as permitted by GDPR Article 17(3) and comparable laws, we may retain fraud- and security-prevention signals (including a keyed one-way hashed IP blocklist that never contains a raw IP address, fraud flags, and abuse reports) and financial, tax, and commerce records for the periods and purposes described in the Privacy Policy (§9).
  • No refunds will be issued for any unused portion of a Subscription.

16.4 Survival

The following sections shall survive termination of these Terms: Section 2 (Definitions), Section 7.2 (License Grant, to the extent Content remains cached), Section 11 (Intellectual Property), Section 12 (Marketplace and Transaction Disclaimer), Section 13 (Disclaimers), Section 14 (Limitation of Liability), Section 15 (Indemnification), Section 18 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution), and Section 20 (Severability).

17. Modifications to Terms

netherbio reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time and at its sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice through the Service (e.g., a banner or notification) or via email to registered Site Owners.

Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must immediately discontinue your use of the Service and, if applicable, request deletion of your account.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Material changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen (14) days after posting, except for changes addressing legal requirements or security concerns, which may take effect immediately.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

18.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the principal place of business of the operator of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country or state in which you reside; where those mandatory rules apply, they continue to apply for your benefit.

18.2 Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, please raise it with us first so we can try to resolve it directly and in good faith. Contact us via our request form or at legal@netherbio.com with a written description of the issue before starting formal proceedings. If we cannot resolve it within thirty (30) days, either party may bring the matter before a court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms requires you to give up your right to go to court, and nothing here removes any right you may have to bring a claim in the courts of your own country of residence where applicable law gives you that right.

18.3 Equitable Relief

Nothing in this section prevents netherbio from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of our intellectual property or other proprietary rights.

19. Accessibility

netherbio is committed to providing a Service that is accessible to as many users as practical, including users of assistive technologies. The Service is designed to substantially conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, including provisions for:

  • Keyboard navigation throughout the public-facing site and admin dashboards, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-link to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, lists, form labels) so that screen readers can present content meaningfully.
  • Text alternatives for non-text content where the content conveys information, including alternative text on sponsorship and advertising creatives.
  • Respect for visitor preferences expressed through prefers-reduced-motion, which suppresses non-essential animations.
  • Sufficient color contrast in the default themes shipped with the Service. Site Owners who configure custom themes are responsible for ensuring their chosen palettes meet accessibility requirements applicable to their audience.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort and some content (particularly user-generated content uploaded by Site Owners) may not always meet the same standards. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Service, please report it through the support channels listed in our Privacy Policy or via Discord. We will use reasonable efforts to address reported accessibility issues in a timely manner.

This Section 19 is not a guarantee of conformance, and the absence of full conformance with any particular accessibility standard does not by itself give rise to a claim under these Terms. The disclaimer of warranties in Section 14 applies to the operation of the Service including accessibility features.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision of these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent of the parties.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any Privacy Policy and other policies or agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and netherbio with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, agreements, and understandings, whether oral or written, between you and netherbio regarding the Service.

No waiver of any provision of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such provision or any other provision. The failure of netherbio to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
